A wonderful series on the BBC giving a glimpse of the sublime style and glamour of the Art Deco age began last night on BBC 4.
Incredible images of many of my favourite influences, Busby Berkeley, fanciful flappers and luxury steamliners. Utterly gorgeous, with fascinating social history insights.
The beautiful, NYC-based Siri, writer of one of my favourite blogs Ringo have a banana, has posted about my tasseled wares. You can read the post here…
The Tassel Lariat has made it’s way on to a mannequin in Topshop Oxford Circus’s big shiny window, made all the more shiny with lovely big EDIT decals all over!
Spotted! The gorgeous Zana of Garbage Dress in the Black Tassel Earrings.
She wore them on her birthday too, what an honour!
You can get your earlobes on a pair for £20 right now, by emailing hello@jenny-jenny.com. These are exclusive to the website, no black ones at Topshop I’m afraid!
EDIT goes live in Topshop’s flagship Oxford Circus store today! It’s a cherry-picked selection of emerging designers and Jenny Jenny is very pleased to be a part of it. My collection will be available to buy on level -2 from today until 25th October. Prices range from £18 to £95 and everything comes beautifully boxed (a peek at the packaging coming up too!).
I went in to have a little look and the whole area looks fabulous. I am thrilled to be sitting alongside such fantastic designers. Husam el Odeh and Sabrina Dehoff are a couple of my favourites.
Everything looks very swank in the cases…
And the Cleo Epaulettes have even made it on to a mannequin. Worn nicely skewed on the front of a blouse…
The fabulous Miss Beth Ditto was the first to get her hands on the Jenny Jenny Tassel Earrings. She wore them for the launch party of The Gossip‘s new album Music for Men. The party, at Dalston Superstore was an absolute hoot and was documented by the divine Vaginal Cream Davis. Watch the video below to see the earrings in full swing (and a huge plug at 1min43. Cheers Beth!)
